Your furnace may be blowing cold air because of a dirty filter. Dust and other particles love to pile up in the filter, which reduces its efficiency in heating up the room. To clean your filters, you must remove them from the unit, then wash them with warm water and dish soap. Be sure to replace the furnace filters every six months or when they start showing signs of weariness.

Too bad this company doesn't do like they used to do. They used to have local service in our small town but now they charge a small fortune to come here to do what they used to do with no additional charge. We lucked out in that they had other clients here and we were able to split the "travel" expense. ($300+ for 180 mile round trip). Other than that, the service was great and the people were excellent.

Customer reports that the furnace part of his package unit will start up, but the burners go out after a few seconds. We suspect a dirty flame sensor. The igniter is a spark igniter for a pilot (intermittent pilot system). When we called for heat, the spark igniter stayed on for 20 seconds, which means it is having trouble proving the flame of the pilot, and indicates a dirty flame sensor. We would recommend at least a furnace service (which comes with a flame sensor), and since it is almost AC season, and AC service would be wise as well. The customer agreed to this so we got to work. Dusted inside of cabinet. Cleaned flame sensor. Visual inspected contactor for pitting on terminals, minimal pitting. Cycled heating sequence for 15 minutes. Supply air blowing 139F return air at 78F. Found unit began short cycled at 10 minutes. Changed out air filter with customer supplied filter. Verified pressure switch closed at -.42 IWC opened at -.30 IWC. Adjusted gas pressure to 3.45 IWC. Fou
