Most homeowners should change their air filters every three months. However, if you have pets or live in a particularly dusty area, you may need to change your filter more frequently. Signs that it may be time for a new air filter include reduced airflow from your vents, higher than normal energy bills, and unusual dust buildup in your home.
Air conditioners are complex pieces of machinery, so it’s not surprising that they sometimes make strange noises. The good news is that most of these sounds are perfectly normal and nothing to be concerned about. Common A/C noises include humming, buzzing, clicking, and whooshing. However, if your A/C is making a loud banging noise, this could be a sign of a serious problem and you should call a professional for help.
The size of your air conditioner should be based on the square footage of the area you want to cool. A general rule of thumb is that you will need a unit with a 1-ton cooling capacity for every 600 square feet of space. However, other factors like the height of your ceilings and the number of windows in the room can also affect the sizing. The best way to determine the perfect size for your needs is to consult with a certified HVAC contractor.

Call and discuss furnace replacement with homeowner. Gave ballpark replacement cost at $6600 for single stage and $8800 for 2 stage. Homeowner will think about it and call back when he is ready.
Came out to check over heater noise. Went under house to check issue. As I was trying to start furnace I found pilot going in and out. Removed pilot assembly and cleaned. Put pilot assembly back together and attempted to run again. Pilot still going in and out. Will get estimates together for customer. Customer also want’s estimate on new furnace. Estimator will be out later this week. Single stage equipment will have 5 year warranty and 10 years after being registered. Single stage 80% equipment is the base for equipment. This equipment will be a bit more efficient than current system. Single stage 90+% equipment I a bit more efficient than the 80% efficiency equipment. I will list lowest efficiency and highest efficiency below. 1. 80% single stage equipment. Good 2. 80% two stage equipment. Better 3. 90%+ single stage equipment. Even better 4. 90%+ two stage equipment. Best Also recommend to customer about getting indoor air quality equipment like air scrubbers.
Called and spoke with customer concerning adding AC to his condo. Will call back if interested in getting official bid.
